Stay-at-home order by KS Gov. Laura Kelly

Gov. Kelly issued a statewide stay-at-home order that takes effect @ 12:01am Monday & it will last at least through April 19th.

*However, No change to operating schools is applied to this order.  Ex. Order 20-07 supersedes the statewide stay-at-home order.  This is the Ex. Order which closed normal school operations for the rest of the school year on March 17th. USD 257-Iola currently has these restrictions in place, since March 17th.
> limit 10 individuals in any one area
> implement social distancing of 6 feet apart
> communicate with County Health if further restrictions are put in place

Exceptions for the stay-at-home order would be for work that is considered essential, getting necessary food, medicine, medical care, taking care of vulnerable family members or pets, and going outside for exercise, as long as the gathering involves 10 people or less & social distancing is maintained.

USD 257-Iola has worked diligently this past week to initiate our Continuous Learning Plan for our students on Monday, 3/30/20.

Thank you,

Stacey Fager, Superintendent of Schools
