Mrs. Maxwell started teaching in Iola in 1994. She has taught first, second, fourth and fifth grades, and was also a Title One teacher. In addition to teaching, she served as site coordinator for Safe Base for two years and was the director of the Jump Start summer school program for nine years.
Mrs. Maxwell graduated from Emporia State University in 1993 with a B.S. in Elementary Education, and in 2001, earned a M.S. in Elementary Administration at Emporia State University.
Her husband, Eric, is a maintenance test pilot for Kansas National Guard and a rural mail carrier in Bronson. She has five children, Eric, Molly, Kyle, Kindra and Nick, a daughter-in-law, Katie, and four grandchildren. |
